Simon Goble - Operations Director - BankBl
We have been working with Optima HR for a year and during that year we have been very impressed with the knowledge, service, professionalism and guidance we have received from both Simona and Gabriele. They have taken a consultative approach to get to know our business which has enabled them to make sound recommendations and provide a service to match our requirements. They have helped us with organisation design, job role design, the onboarding of six new employees, putting company policies in place, and helping us keep up with new employment legislation. I can highly recommend talking to Optima HR if you're looking for a HR partner.
Michael van de Weg - CEO - IMMJ Systems
Optima HR have provided our fast scaling business with the HR structure, policies and advice essential to a growing business. Their support has been phenomenal and exactly what we needed to manage and retain our employees with professional empathy and compliance.
Sarah Shayler - Small Business Owner
Optima HR was introduced to me by my Book Keeper, as I was looking for a HR Consultant to assist me in establishing the correct HR practices and protocols for my small business. Having no real experience of this area and having no knowledge of what was needed to be put in place for my team, Simona was very helpful in explaining what was required by law for my situation. She took the time to understand my business and was very patient in explaining everything to me and made sure I understood and was happy with what she was proposing. Finally she prepared all the documentation I required and then has been on-hand to deal with any queries from my staff. I certainly couldn't have done it without her!
Theresa Marks - Managing Director - AddHR Ltd
I have known Simona for over 10 years. Initially we worked together as colleagues in a HR Consultancy and more recently, she collaborates with my own business on several HR projects.
She always impresses me in her ability to get to understand the clients business and their needs in order to deliver timely the right results. Simona has strong technical HR skills, good knowledge of employment law and is very thorough; she has great energy and high levels of integrity. I rate her highly and have no reservations in recommending her
Cherry Bennett - HR Director Assistant - University of Reading
Simona and I have worked together in a large public sector organisation and she quickly became a trusted and integral part of our HR department. Simona is extremely focused on the customer's needs and is results driven.
She is was always up to date on changes in HR and applying them in the workplace. Simona is a true HR professional with a passion for what she does and working with her was always enjoyable.
James Wilding - Principal and Proprietor - Claires Court Schools Ltd
Simona came at a critical time to cover for a maternity leave of our most senior HR person. She got up to speed very quickly and established strong relationships with employees working hard to resolve employee issues timely and effectively.
She has a strong work ethic and has consistently demonstrated immense commitment, diligence and integrity. Simona would be a valuable asset for any organisation.
Carlos Almansa - Director - Nexudus

Do you offer HR support services across Berkshire & London?
What are the important HR requirements for a small business?
Starting a business is tough and requires a lot of energy and taking risks. However, investing in having a professionally drafted contract of employment and a staff handbook with your key policies as a minimum will save you a lot of problems and cost with your employees in the long-run and they are not very expensive to draft. We see a number of employers paying a lot of money in tribunals not because they have done something wrong but because they did not follow the correct process or have a proper contract of employment in place.
If we needed help with a one-off HR Support project can Optima HR help?
Do you offer HR support services to small and medium businesses of all sizes?
Yes – Our smallest client has one employee and our largest has just under 100 people. Businesses with five or more employees should seriously consider getting regular HR support and advice. At Optima HR our support services are scaled to the size of our clients so we can give great advice and support cost effectively.
How do the outsourced HR support services with Optima HR work?
What does Redundancy mean and can Optima HR help us with this process?
There can be confusion as to what is a redundancy – The scenario arises due to:
1) The employer ceasing or intending to cease to carry on the business for the purposes of which the employee was so employed; or
2) the employer ceasing or intends to cease to carry on the business in the place where the employee was so employed; or
3) the requirements of the business for employees to carry out work of a particular kind has ceased or diminished or are expected to cease or diminish; or
4) the requirements of the business for the employees to carry out work of a particular kind, in the place where they were so employed, has ceased or diminished or are expected to cease or diminish. Any proposed redundancy which does not fall into 1 of these 4 definitions will not be a lawful redundancy! A badly executed redundancy without a proper and fair process, including consultation where appropriate, is likely to be classed as an unfair dismissal.
Optima HR has extensive experience of single and collective redundancies so contact us for a free 30-minute consultation to discuss this further.
